According to WHO:s latest report only 12% of Swedish girls reach the recommendation of 60 minutes daily physical activity. And this problem is global.
One reason for our sedentary lifestyle is that we spent a lot of time with our screens. In the Generation Pep's report from 2020 one out of four teenagers state that they have more than 5 hours sedentary screen time every day outside school time. And parents are often bad role models. The SCRIIN app shows your balance between the screen time on your smart phone and your physical activity. You can create groups and share your data with in the family or with friends to encourage each other to obtain a good balance. Maybe daddy is the laziest couch potato and mum the worst screen addict. Being physically active is important for both our physical and mental health. SCRIIN's activity tracker records all activities - playing, running , dancing, playing football, walking and jumping trampoline. It works both "standalone" (for younger children) and linked to the SCRIIN app.
The activity tracker is small and lightweight and shows with four blue LEDs when you have reached WHO's activity goal. It has been proved in a study with the Karolinska Institutet to increase young people's physical activity by 50%. Use the SCRIIN app to keep track of the entire family's physical activity. Create a group for family and friends. Inspire and challenge each other to reach WHO's activity goal every day. You can also purchase the tracker on Sportamore.
